I've always enjoyed taking photographs of this mill located in London, KY. Whether it be snowing or in the middle of summer it seems I can always find a different view and feel in the Mill. People will often come up to me after I take a pic and talk about how I will stand on a ledge or lying on my stomach to get the shot I want.
One thing I've learned in any type of photography composition is I want to be unique in how I shoot. One of my favorite shots of Levi Jackson McHargue's Mill is with me lying on my stomach with my tripod as low as it will go.
Here are a few photographs of the Mill. Enjoy!!
The photograph of Levi Jackson Mill below is one of my most memorable ones I've taken to date. The weather was between -5 to -10 degrees below 0! I climbed across the railing even though you're not allowed and took my chances. Carefully I setup my tripod and tried not to fall into the water LOL. Probably the reason it's the most memorable is due to the extreme cold weather I had to endure. Oh, I drug my wife and kids along for the photo shoot too! :) They didn't seem too eager to take the trip and was ready to go within 5 minutes.
